Today (December 27), Mr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, revealed that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayut Chan-o-cha has acknowledged the decision of the European Union (EU) to recognize Thailand’s Digital Health Pass on the “Mor Prom” platform for travel to 60 countries/territories recognized by the EU. The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation and thanks to all relevant agencies involved in this progress, reflecting the effectiveness and swift implementation of Thai policies. He is confident that the Thailand Digital Health Pass is compatible and can work seamlessly with other countries worldwide.

The EU has recognized Thailand’s Digital Health Pass on “Mor Prom,” making Thailand the second ASEAN country to have its Digital Health Pass integrated. This recognition means that the vaccine certificates on the Mor Prom app will be equivalent to the EU’s COVID-19 certificates, starting from January next year. The information displayed will include vaccination status, COVID-19 test results (both RT-PCR and ATK), and recovery history from COVID-19.

The Spokesperson added that this recognition allows Thai citizens using the Mor Prom app to present the details in the app as proof for traveling to the EU and other countries/territories connected to the Thailand Digital Health Pass. It also applies to participation in activities and services in those countries/territories. However, travelers must check and comply with the public health measures of their destination countries, such as travel conditions, quarantine requirements, and the risk level of the originating country.
